New tech upstart OPlus has launched their smart phone.
Their XonPhone 5 is said to be the next best
budget android that has some good features and it also comes at a price
that is quite competitive.
The XonPhone 5 is the second device from the house of
Oplus following their Xonpad 7. While the XonPad 7 was a truly great gadget,
the XonPhone has yet to make a name for it. The features that it houses are
really great as it a balance of good features and some great features. The
packaging is also done very well as it is compact, durable and minimal at the
same.
At first look, the smart phone feels heavy and is
actually built very well has metal components that are noticeable on the sides.
So on the design scale, it does score very well, you have the 8 MP camera on the back along with the LED
flash. The front looks very simple as you have the sensors, the 2 MP camera and the audio receiver. The
phone only comes in three colours as of now and you can also get flip covers
online.

The display of the phone is the best part, for this
price tag it is probably the best that you can get. It has Full View and an HD
resolution in 1280x 720 pixels. So if you are planning to buy a budget android
for viewing videos and other multimedia, the XonPhone 5 is for you.
The XonPhone 5 features the MIUI look on the OS and
other than the home screen and icons, not much else has been customized. The
phone dialer has a stock android look and you can start video calls from here.
The camera is not too bad either, the 8 MP shooter as
the back is capable of taking sharp and clear images. The focus range and the
macro range shots are really good and videos (720p) are clear with great sound
quality. Here is a quick look at the entire phone:
