XonPhone 5 Full Gaming Review

The best smart phones are judged by how well they fare in the gaming section. This is just one of the many features that people want in their smart gadgets. So how well does the XonPhone 5 perform in this section?

Smart phone users would like to purchase a smart phone on which they can play both high end and low end games; this is the final test of how well the smart phone really works in terms of other apps, video and audio playback. Low budget phones may have a tough time competing in this arena, but there are a few gadgets that are pretty good. Oplus has recently launched the XonPhone 5, a budget phone that promises to deliver all that and more- so where exactly does it stand?

The XonPhone 5 was tested across four games, to check graphics upload and delivery, smoothness between frames, audio and lagging.

Asphalt 8:
Users of android will know that this is the best racing game app launched for the phone, this apps loads very quickly and runs extremely smoothly as well. The graphics run well and you will not notice any lagging between frames. Audio and sound playback is very audible. The specifications provided on this entry level phone exceed expectations and is similar to what you can expect to see in any mid range phone. Overall the game runs smoothly and the colours are very bright.

Nova 3:
This high end game delivers excellent sound quality on the XonPhone 5. Colour reproduction, animations, graphics and other effects work very smoothly and make the game very enjoyable on this gadget. You will only notice minor lags if you have too many apps loaded on the device, if you have enough RAM space that is needed for the game, it should work well. You can aim well as the screen is very responsive. Apart from the small lags, you can play the game well which is more important. Obviously the gadget will not be at par with high range gadgets, but in terms of performance, it is quite close.

 Temple Run 2:
This low end game usually works without much hassle on most android gadgets, since the XonPhone 5 could support high end games- this game should work well. The hardware specifications on the XonPhone 5 can run most games that are available on android platform; again this depends on how much space and battery power the phone has. So Temple Run works smoothly as expected and there are no lags as the game is designed to work on most platforms.

Speed Night:
This game does not require a very strong GPU and like Temple Run should easily work on most devices including this one. Graphics are smoothly and load without much trouble. The sound here is also very good.

All games as tested worked well with the exception of minor lags in Nova 3. The device has been priced at 7999/- and delivers very good gaming quality. Log on to www.oplustech.com to see more reviews.
